CalWORKs Resource Book

2023 - 2024

overview

The CalWORKs Resource Book was created to support student parents at Grossmont College by compiling essential community and campus resources into one accessible guide. Developed from scratch, the 134-page book was based on contributions from CalWORKs counselors and staff, reflecting their real-world experience helping students in crisis. The design process included full layout, content formatting, and visual direction aligned with the CalWORKs brand identity. Sectioned typography, clear structure, and compliance elements, like the governing board page—ensured both readability and professional standards. The final product was distributed both in print and digitally to expand access and promote educational equity.
