CalWORKs Cultural Compass Book

The Cultural Compass Book was created as a comprehensive guide to support DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) learning and cultural reflection within the CalWORKs program at Grossmont College. Designed from scratch, this 144-page book involved full layout design, content formatting, and production setup for both print and web. To ensure cultural authenticity, design elements included collaborative feedback from students of diverse backgrounds and the careful use of colors, icons, and layout tone. Each cultural section used its own color palette while remaining rooted in the CalWORKs brand system. The final piece functions as both an educational resource and a cultural celebration of the CalWORKs community.
